    Bridesmaid Dress Zip broke less than two hours into the day, 12 year old girl had to sit through the meal and speech's with pins holding it together.
    A seamstress did eventually come out and sew her into the dress but at this sensitive age the embarrasment had already taken some of the shine of her being her uncle and Aunts bridesmaid.
    I have contacted the shop today 3 days after the wedding to say I will be comimg to see them for a refund as I do not believe the dress was fit for purpose as it did not last the whole day. ( Consumer Rights Act 2015)
    One of the managers has told me they will not give me a refund but will fix the zip ( What purpose this will serve now I do not know I told her ) as the dresses purpose was for my Grandaughter to be a beautiful happy bridesmaid at my step sons wedding.
    The dress was unzipped by myself to let her cool down as it was an extremely hot day and when refastened the zip teeth came apart.
    The lady in question told me ( Her EXACT words ) you can argue with me until the cows come home but you will not be getting a refund.
    I will be taking this matter further and will be contacting the financial ombudsmen in due course.

    To The owner, firstly I do not use abusive language secondly I did not call you or any of your staff a liar, I raised my voice when you told me the bridesmaid had been taken out of the dress at the reception and I said she most definately had not, you then said the brides mother had been in and told you this I then said well she is then telling a lie as I can assure you she was not taken out of the dress. The photographs you speak of were taken prior to the zip breaking which was after the service and photgraphs but before the meal and speeches, no more than one and a half hours after the dress was zipped up by the brides mother.
    As for your remark as to whom zipped the dress up in the shop your assistant was present when the dress was zipped, as was I the dress zipped fine. The brides mother zipped the dress on the day of the wedding it was fine? what this has to do with the zip failing at the wedding I do not know.
    I phoned your staff as soon as the zip broke and asked for someone to come out with a sewing machine and put in new zip I was told this could not be done as the shop were not insured to bring out a machine.

    The bride and other bridesmaids did have a lovely day they were not embarrassed or upset that their dress zip failed but a 12 year old girl was ,and my Grandaughters day as a bridesmaid for her uncle and Aunt was utterly spoilt.
    I have sent you a letter by registered post in regard to my complaint and asked for you to reply within 14 days as required by the consumer rights act and so far have you have not done so, therefore I will be taking this matter further.
